The IDC Dance Company is a competitive dance company composed of dancers that are chosen by the IDC staff for their dedication to the art of dance. The company attends a combination of conventions and competitions for a total of 6 mandatory regional events throughout the regular dance season as well as National events in the summer. Members are also given the opportunity to attend other non mandatory dance conventions during the season. At these conventions the dancers are afforded the opportunity to learn from top professionals in the dance industry as they continue to grow in their art. Members of the company are committed to a year long journey as they focus on both their technical training and their artistry in movement.

Throughout their competitive seasons the IDC Dance Company has been awarded both regional and national awards. These include group and solo specialty, overall, high score and choreography awards. Our dancers have also received year long convention scholarships, national convention scholarships as well as intensive and talent expo scholarships. We are extremely proud of the growth of our dancers both on and off stage as they show integrity in their performance and grace under pressure. We can't wait to see what each season brings to the table.

New this season, we are introducing our PERFORMANCE COMPANY in addition to our COMPETITIVE COMPANY.

PERFORMANCE COMPANY:

Our Performance Company is perfect for dancers who are new to the competitive dance world or those looking for a more recreational approach to competition. This program provides a structured yet supportive environment for dancers to grow their skills, gain performance experience, and build confidence on stage.

Performance Company dancers participate in three mandatory events throughout the dance season, allowing them to experience the excitement of competition without the intense commitment of a full-time competitive track. This company is open to dancers ages 5-18, offering the perfect balance of training, teamwork, and fun.

COMPETITIVE COMPANY:

Our Competitive Company is designed for dedicated dancers who aspire to take their passion to the next level—whether pursuing a professional dance career or continuing their journey in college. This elite program is open to intermediate/advanced dancers ages 7-10 and advanced dancers ages 11-18 who are ready to commit to rigorous training and high-level performance opportunities.

Company members participate in five mandatory regional events throughout the year, culminating in our Nationals event in July, with additional optional seasonal events available. This program provides the technical training, performance experience, and industry exposure needed to excel in the competitive dance world and beyond.
