The IDC Dance Company is a competitive dance company made up of two teams: the Competitive Team and the Performance Team. Dancers are selected by the IDC staff based on their technical ability, work ethic, passion for dance, and overall dedication to the art. The Competitive Team participates in five mandatory regional events throughout the regular dance season, as well as a National event in the summer. The Performance Team attends three mandatory regional events during the season. Both teams continue to train together, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for all dancers. Additionally, members are given the opportunity to attend non-mandatory dance conventions throughout the season, where they can learn from top professionals in the dance industry and further develop their skills. All dancers are committed to a year-long journey, focusing on both technical training and artistry in movement.
